As pictured above, the Air-Max Pond Aeration Unit may be operated YEAR ROUND. The Air-Max™ Pond Aerator is far superior to any other pond aeration unit currently produced. Unlike other units constructed of PVC or other plastics, the Air-Max has a rugged fiberglass floatation device. With the pump and motor assembly located in deeper "warmer" water, helping to keep an opening in the ice, during freezing conditions. Since all winters ARE NOT created equal, you will need to exercise your better judgment during extreme freezing conditions. During extended times of freezing conditions, you may just turn the unit off, allowing the unit to become totally encased in ice. Then after the ice begins to melt, simply turn the unit back on to resume normal operation.
